In 1853 Steinway & Sons began making their legendary pianos in New York City. In 1881, they moved manufacturing to the site of the existing factory in Long Island City. Steinway Piano Gallery of Long Island is the only company owned showroom on Long Island offering new Steinway pianos, factory rebuilt Steinway pianos and the Steinway-Designed Boston and Essex pianos. The showroom is currently relocating and will be reopening in late 2023.
